War Inna Babylon: Multimedia Presentation

Rounding off Black History Month 2026, Stafford Scott, Director of Tottenham Rights, brings a special presentation of the War Inna Babylon Project to Tottenham Leisure Centre.
War Inna Babylon grew out of the experiences of communities who refused to remain silent in the face of racism, police violence and injustice. It tells a story of resistance, resilience and collective action, and reminds us that many of the rights and freedoms we have today were won because ordinary people were prepared to stand together and fight for them.
Tottenham Rights is a community organisation campaigning for racial and social justice for Black communities of Tottenham and beyond. You can find out more about the local histories of Black communities through the Broadwater Farm Youth Association online archive by visiting their website.
The Broadwater Farm Youth Association online archive holds a growing collection of material documenting the history, work and activities of the Youth Association as well as materials marking the 40th anniversary of the Broadwater Farm Uprising. Together these stories and materials are rooted in the lived experiences of the Tottenham community, helping preserve a vital part of Black British history for future generations, and will continue to grow over time.
This event is made possible in part with support from The National Lottery Heritage Fund.
