Haringey Culture Collective (HCC) is committed to protecting your personal information. We also want to maintain the trust and confidence of every one of our audience members and supporters, as well as each visitor who uses our website.
This Privacy Policy gives you detailed information on when and why we collect your personal information, how we use it and how we keep it secure.
Aside from helping us deliver our programme of culture and arts, the information you share with us means you’ll receive a more personalised and rewarding experience e.g. information about opportunities that may interest you.
We may change this Policy from time to time so please check this page occasionally to ensure that you’re happy with any changes. By using our website, you’re agreeing to be bound by this Policy. Please contact HCC if you have any questions on our Privacy policy.
We keep this Policy under regular review.
We obtain information about you when you contact us about work, to make a donation, buy merchandise or editions, complete a survey, attend an event or exhibition, visit our website, apply for one of our opportunities or if you register to join our mailing list.
The personal information we collect might include your name, address, email address, pronouns, sexual orientation, gender, date of birth, phone number, delivery and billing address. If you make a donation online, your card information is not held by us, it is collected by our third party payment processors, who specialise in the secure online capture and processing of credit/debit card transactions, as explained below.
When visiting our website we may collect the following information:
- Automatically populated IP address: a public IP address is a unique number which allows a computer, group of computers or other internet connected device to browse the internet. The log file records the time and date of your visit, the pages that were requested, the referring website (if provided) and your internet browser version. This information is collected to help diagnose and manage the website, to audit the geographical make-up of users, and to establish how they have arrived at the website.
We may use your information to:
- Process a donation that you have made
- To carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into by you and us;
- Processing competition entries;
- To seek your views or comments on the services we provide;
- To notify you of changes to our services;
- To send you communications which you have requested and that may be of interest to you. These may include information about campaigns, events, project progress, appeals and other fundraising activities.
- To process job applications.
We review our retention periods for personal information on a regular basis. We are legally required to hold some types of information to fulfil our statutory obligations (for example the collection of Gift Aid). We will hold your personal information on our systems for as long as is necessary for the relevant activity, or as long as is set out in any relevant contract you hold with us.
We will never share, sell, rent or trade your personal information to any third parties for marketing purposes without your prior consent. We will ask for your consent to share personal information with like-minded arts organisations whose event, talk or exhibition you will have seen at HCC in collaboration with us at another venue
Data-sharing agreement with London Borough of Haringey (LBH): HCC has a data-sharing agreement in place with LBH, in order to provide a secure safe harbour for data held by HCC, in the event of the organisation’s closure. If we hold your personal information on our systems, we will notify you before any such transfer takes place. All data held by HCC and LBH will be used for the sole purpose of cultural communications.
Third Party Service Providers working on our behalf: We may pass your information to our third party service providers, agents, subcontractors and other associated organisations for the purposes of completing tasks and providing services to you on our behalf (for example to process donations and send you mailings). However, when we use third party service providers, we disclose only the personal information that is necessary to deliver the service and we have a contract in place that requires them to keep your information secure and not to use it for their own marketing purposes.
When you are using our secure online donation pages, your donation is processed by a third party payment service, Stripe, which specialises in the secure online capture and processing of credit/debit card transactions. If you have any questions regarding secure transactions, please contact us.
We will not release your information to third parties unless you have requested us to do so, or are required to do so by law, for example, by a court order or for the purposes of prevention of fraud or other crime.
We will not contact you for marketing purposes by email, phone or text message unless you have given your prior consent or signed up for a mailing list. You can change your marketing preferences at any time by contacting us by email at hello@haringeycollective.com.
